Maria Fierz
Marta von Meyenburg (November 10, 1882 – March 10, 1972)
was the
daughter
of Viktor von Meyenburg.
She attended
nursing school in Zurich, then worked for the official
guardianship of Zurich. From 1910 she was the director of care
courses for women.
She
founded, together with her life
partner Maria Fierz, the Social Women's School
of
Zurich,
she was
the first
headmistress from
1921
to 1934 on the vocational training of the social worker and
promoted the professionalization of female.
In 1914
she co-founded and until 1947she
was a member of the board of
Frauenzentrale Zürich.
From 1934
to 57
she was a
board member of
the
Nursing school of Zurich.
