Dr. Hyung K. Kim (November 18, 1927 - October 30, 2002) was born to Myung Hee Kim and Ae Jin Kim in Sinuiju, North Korea on November 18, 1927. He arrived in the U.S. in 1953 and received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Washington in 1967. Dr. Kim served 29 years at the University of Minnesota - Duluth as a Professor of Business Administration and also served as Associate Dean of the School of Business Administration. A world traveler, he held teaching positions in England, Taiwan, China and Malaysia.
He passed away on October 30, 2002 in Seattle.
