Queer Places:
Mulberry House, 2701 W Grace St, Richmond, VA 23220

Stephen Micheal Lenton (August 18, 1941 – September 15, 2001) was a Peace Corps volunteer, university assistant dean of student life, professional therapist, and a political and gay rights activist.

He was born in Whittier, Calif., and was a long-time resident of Richmond, Va.

His perspective as an emerging gay man in the last half of the twentieth century is preserved in his diaries, scrapbooks, correspondence, writings, lesson plans, and oral history interviews. Service to the community and society at large was the cornerstone of his life.
