Murl W. Willoughby (November 9, 1926 - February 19, 1999) was a waiter. He was a World War II Army veteran. The Murl Willoughby and Art scrapbooks at the GLBT Historical Society contains black and white snapshots taken from two photo albums documenting their long-term relationship, with images spanning the years of 1939 to 1961 (mainly 1940s). Included are photographs of family and friends, World War II and Civilian Conservation Corps, visits to Death Valley and a beach in New York, Murl’s basketball team material, and photo booth snapshots.

Willoughby died of heart failure on February 19, 1999, at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare of Dyersburg.
