Jack Hanson (1921 – 1984) was not only Danny La Rue's business manager but also the love of his life. In 1984, after 30 years together, Jack Hanson, whom La Rue called "the love of my life", died of a stroke in New Zealand and La Rue took his body home. Jack and Danny are laid to rest in St Mary's Cemetery Kensal Green London in the same tombstone. La Rue wrote the epitaph: Treasured Memories of a Dear Friend, Until We Meet Again, Dan.
