Frank Lysinger (October 12, 1920 - March 18, 2011) worked in the music department at MGM. He was the partner of Richard Pefferle and remembered, "My being gay and knowing all these people, the doors were always open. It was all this "understood" business. They knew I knew. I knew they knew. It was kind of a brotherhood. You'd meet each other through one and you'd see each other out."

FFranklin Hale Lysinger was born on October 12, 1920, in Lamani, Iowa. He was a messenger boy at MGM in the later 1930s. "I got to see everybody and everything," he remembered, and that included the various studio departments. Each had its own traditions and atmosphere, Lysinger remembered: in the prop department, there was always "lots of gaiety," with set decorators Henry Gracea, Jack Moore, Richard Pefferle, Keogh Gleason, and research chief Elliot Morgan camping it up and carrying on. "Oh, my, yes, camp humor certainly did bounce off the walls," Morgan concurred.

He died on March 18, 2011 at 90 years of age.
