Costa Pappas (1963 - December 26, 1989) was an artist and activist. The Costas, an affinity group within ACT UP, was named after him.

Together with Ray Navarro, Costa Pappas, made ''Target City Hall,'' a videotape of an Act Up demonstration at City Hall. Pappas and Navarro were members of DIVA, Damned Interfering Video Activists.

Robert Getso (1962-2014) was an activist and visual artist whose work focused on HIV/AIDS activism. His photographs mostly document ACT UP during their active years from the late 1980s to the 1990s. Getso was also a member of the Costas.
