Partners Joe William "Bill" Bailey and Clarence Joseph McCloskey, Jr. (March 13, 1925 - June 24, 1973) perished together in the Upstairs Lounge Fire. McCloskey’s sisters and two nieces attended the Memorial Service. His niece, Susan, represented McCloskey in the Jazz Funeral.
Clarence Joseph McCloskey, Jr. was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of Clarence Joseph McCloskey, Sr (1903–1975) and Frances Marie Theresa Duchmann (1903–1971).
