Clarke Taylor (1944 - January 5, 1990) was a New York correspondent for The Los Angeles Times who wrote film and television reviews and articles for more than a decade.

Taylor was also a founding member of the Performing Artists for Nuclear Disarmament, the AIDS Medical Foundation, the American Foundation for AIDS research and other groups pressing for accelerated efforts to develop a cure for acquired immune deficiency syndrome.

Taylor, a native of Philadelphia, was a graduate of Friends Select School there and Wilmington College of Ohio and a former teacher of English and drama at the Friends School in Baltimore and the Walden School in Manhattan.

He died of AIDS on January 5, 1990, at Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan. He was 46 years old and lived in Manhattan.
