Alexander Friedrich Georg, count of Platen Hallermund (May 18, 1875 - July 23, 1944) was born on May 18, 1875, the son of Carl Ernst Felix von Platen-Hallermund, Graf and Edler Herr von Platen-Hallermund (1810-1887) and Luise Julie Henriette Auguste von Hollen, Freiin von Hollen (1833-1895). He married on 11 August 1903, at Poggenhof, Rügen, Elisabeth von Platen (1881-1955), daughter of Louis Eugen von Platen, Herr auf Poggenhof and Retelitz (1844-1893) and Helene von der Lancken (1855-1915). He had two children: Viktoria Luise von Platen-Hallermund, Countess of Platen-Hallermund (1912-1937) and Barbara Sophie Elisabeth Ursula Marie von Platen-Hallermund, Countess of Platen-Hallermund.
He died on July 23, 1944, at Pasewalk.
